— Susan Barton
Working with John has been truly life-changing for our family. Since beginning the Barton program, we have seen incredible growth not only in our son's reading and writing abilities, but also in his overall confidence. Tasks that once felt frustrating and overwhelming now feel achievable to him. What has meant the most to us is seeing him feel proud of himself again. John was patient, encouraging, and skilled at meeting him where he is while helping him grow every step of the way. We are so grateful for the positive impact this support has had on both his academic progress and self-esteem.”"

We’re here to help—find answers to the most common questions parents ask about our tutoring services
and how we support struggling readers.
Yes, absolutely! We help all struggling readers—whether or not they have a formal diagnosis. If your child is having difficulty with reading, we're here to support them.
In order to make meaningful growth, students need to have tutoring sessions twice a week. This consistent schedule is key to reinforcing new skills and building steady progress in reading.
Sessions are held in a quiet, dedicated learning space at the tutor’s home in Lincoln, CA. It’s a comfortable and welcoming environment where students can focus and feel at ease while they learn.
